The time has come! Student teaching will officially begin tomorrow! I am going through all the emotions of excited, nervous, anxious, you name it. I have put together what I think will be the most useful to take with me to school every day.
This Kate Spade tote is the BEST bag to carry all my things in! This was a Christmas present Meg got me, and I am in love! She also attached this adorable apple key chain with my name on it! This would be the perfect gift for any teacher.
This Target planner is very similar to mine and super cute! I wanted a separate planner for just student teaching and I loved this style and size! These are my blue light glasses that I still to this day think was the best purchase! Especially in this new world we are living in (zoom university) these save me from so many headaches. I also have a pencil pouch to keep ALL my pens and pencils! I also have this Rae Dunn task list for just anything I need to jot down really quickly!
The most important item in my bag is this binder! I am the person who has to have a spot for everything and loves organization. I put together this binder with all my different tabs to keep every paper, assignment and student work sample in their own spot! I think this will be super beneficial to have once I start interviewing for jobs as well.
How freaking cute is this teacher clipboard?? This was an item that was in my stocking this year, thanks Santa 😉 I am so excited to use this in the classroom when I might be observing students and need to jot down some notes!
The last few things I added to my bag is my computer since that will be where I do all my work. Haha. With my computer, you have to have your computer charger. I also added some extra masks just in case, cause you know #covidlife. I added a notebook for any notes or great techniques I want to jot down that I notice my Cooperating Teacher doing! I will also have my lunch box and water bottle with me as well. There may be a few more items I add here and there but hopefully this will be the gist of what I need for student teaching!
Now wish me luck on what could be the most stressful and exciting time of my college career! Any tips or words of encouragement would be greatly appreciated 🙂 I cannot wait to share with you guys my experience and any tips or tricks I figure out along the way!
