We’re Going to Disney World!

We’re going to Disney World!! Next month, we will set out on Peyton’s first airplane ride and head for Mickey’s house! She is SO excited and when asked where she is going she will say “Mickey’s House” and if you ask her how she’s getting there, she will scream “PLAAAANE!” Of course I am so pumped for this trip, I love Disney World as an adult but it is going to be so much more special seeing it through Peyton’s eyes. With that said, I am also a little intimidated to take a small child into Disney. I am trying to go in well prepared, with an open mind, and a flexible schedule. Today I want to share with you guys some of the prep I am starting to do for the trip as far as planning through the My Disney Experience App and buying/packing! I am NOT a pro at this, like I said this is our first time. If you have any suggestions in the neighborhood of babies + Disney, please share in the comments below!

Best Day Ever Shirt, Mama & Mini Mouse, Mickey & Co., Animal Print Ears Shirt, Making Magic Happen, Large Mickey Head Shirt
Let’s go ahead and get started with the most important part- what are we going to wear. July in Disney is going to be unbearably hot. But hey, we’re in the happiest place on earth right!? I am planning on wearing running shorts, tennis shoes and a different Disney themed shirt every day! Oh and of course, mouse ears! I just purchased this ‘Making Magic Happen’ shirt from Amazon and the rest of these shown above are in my Etsy cart! I love shopping from Etsy and supporting small shops.

I recently got a new stroller, the Zoe Tour+, specifically with a Disney trip in mind! It weighs nothing, folds and opens with one hand, and has great storage on the bottom. I will definitely be bringing it on the trip to have through the airport and in the parks. Last week, I also shared the new stroller hooks that I recently found and think will be perfect for hauling bags around the park! Lastly, Peyton’s new stroller fan just came in the mail! I ordered this one because it can operate off of battery power or you can charge it up with a USB! It is going to be SO hot and the last thing I want is her not to have a good time simply because of the heat.

And now for probably the most important part of all… the planning through the My Disney Experience App! We booked our trip over the phone with one of their agents, but all other planning has taken place on this app. Due to COVID, Disney still has you make park reservations. This simply means you let them know ahead of time which parks you will be visiting on which days so that they can know how many guests will be in the park as to not overcrowd. We also ordered our Magic Bands on the app. These used to be free to guests, but now you can get the base model for $5.00. This band serves as your resort room key, park ticket, and credit card (you can pay for anything anywhere in the park by simply tapping your band and having a credit card setup on your account). The app also allows you to make dining reservations, see attraction wait times, and SO. MUCH. MORE. While in the park, you can even order food from the app! One more thing I need to mention is that we did add on the Memory Maker package too. It is slightly discounted if you purchase it at the time of booking. I just wanted to be able to capture all the photos from the trip and not have to worry about having my phone out all the time.

This is just a small glimpse into the trip we are planning and we are so excited to bring you along with us! I fully believe that Disney is the most magical place on Earth and am so excited to share that with Peyton. While booking the trip on the phone, the agent had Tiff and I in tears talking about how magical Peyton’s first visit will be and how she is Mickey’s personal guest so she will get all this fun stuff at check-in, and because she is under 3, all of her meals are free (free park admission too not to mention)!
