Hey guys! Hope everyone had a great extended weekend! Today is a big day in our house. Today is the day we start crib training Peyton. Yes, up until this point she has avoided the crib like the plague. It is just finally time we take that next step… wish me ALL the luck.
Although this schedule is bound to change because we are getting the crib involved, today I wanted to take the opportunity to share Peyton’s schedule with you. This is a question I get a lot from other Mom’s. And although every baby is different, I wanted to share what works for us.

Now let me explain a few things. We do bath time right in the middle of the afternoon! This is kind of unconventional because most people like to give their babies baths at the end of the day as part of their bedtime routine. With us being home most all day, we started doing bath time in the afternoon because we had the time and Peyton LOVES the bath, so it’s like a fun afternoon activity for her. We also go out to dinner a lot and get home just in time for bedtime.
Peyton also only drinks about 5 oz. of bottle at a time. Some other babies her age drink a lot more ounces, a lot less often. This is simply just how Peyton likes to “graze” throughout the day. We feed her a bottle every three hours. But if she doesn’t finish the whole bottle, which she does a lot because she is such a grazer, we feed her more often.
Finally, I can totally see us moving to just one nap really really soon. If this whole crib training thing is going to be as hard as it was today, I feel like she will easily transition to one nap because she will have to be SO tired in order to fall asleep on her own in the crib… wish me luck.
Now please enjoy this cute picture of Peyton at the orchards this past weekend while I try to throw her in the crib for the night. Have any more questions about Peyton’s routine? Food she’s currently loving? Leave them in the comments below!
