Happy Friday everyone! I thought we could kick off the weekend with the FIRST (of many) home tours! Of course, my favorite room in the house is Peyton’s room. Planning and executing a nursery for a brand new baby is such a labor of love. I spent so much time researching furniture and colors and decor… and then Andrew spent so much time executing my visions.
Let’s start with the crib! I had my eye on this crib for months and finally made the trip to Alpharetta, GA (the closest Pottery Barn Kids to us) and made the purchase. Funny story… The crib wouldn’t fit in my car so Andrew had to drive down later that day to be able to bring the crib home that night in his truck, he is just the best! This is the Larkin Crib in simply white.

After we found the perfect crib, we visited the Pottery Barn Outlet in Gaffney, SC to secure the rest of the furniture. There we found this Wingback Rocking Chair and the Dresser with Changing Table Topper (linked similar). Finally, the floor lamp is from Target (linked similar) and the book shelf is a hand-me-down gift from one of my very best friends, Maggie!

See that sweet rocker beside the bookshelf? That was built for me by my great-grandfather and my grandfather just restored and re-painted it for Peyton’s room!

Last but not least, I have to draw some attention to the gorgeous artwork hanging above Peyton’s crib. My incredibly talented Aunt Kathy is responsible for these! I pinned TONS of florals on Pinterest, shared them with her, and gave her the color scheme I was thinking (mostly based off of the bedding I had picked out), and WOW DID SHE DELIVER! Even more so, it is so special that Peyton’s great-aunt had such a big part in the creation of her room.
Stay tuned for more home tour posts coming soon! Should we make this a Friday tradition!?
