Today is a very special day in the life of Megan & Andrew! Today is the day we celebrate 10 years of being together. We have known each other for almost 12 years, but on this day 10 years ago, Andrew asked me to be his girlfriend and we’ve been together every since!
In celebration, I am sharing photos from our wedding with you guys! Being a former event planner, it would be incredibly hard to recount every detail and decision in this one post. I am going to mostly share pictures and also share a few of our vendors. If you guys want more wedding details (logistical details, itineraries, etc.), I’d be happy to share in a different post!

My bridesmaids and I all stayed together at my Aunt’s house the night before the wedding. In the morning, we got to have a small breakfast before everyone arrived to start getting ready. We all got ready in these robes! I chose an Alfred Sung classic dress for my bridesmaids.
For the decorations at the reception, we did most of it ourselves! We bought these gorgeous simple vases and frames from the Dollar Tree (can you believe it!? PRO TIP: Dollar Tree is a completely different store online. You can buy in bulk and they have great quality items for events). We printed all of our engagement photos and filled the frames. We popped hydrangeas into the vases. It was so simple, but because a hydrangea has such a large presence, it totally worked.
While we’re here, I also wanted to point out our guest book. I made this photo book on Shutterfly! I just put our favorite engagement photos in a large photo book and left LOTS of blank white space for our guests to write in. I can honestly say that we keep this book out on our coffee table and I love to flip through it periodically. It brings me such joy!

We got married at our church, Mud Creek Baptist, in Hendersonville, NC. These are two of my absolute favorite photos from our day! On the left, I’m pretty sure my Dad and I were telling each other not to look one another in the eye or we would both start crying!

After the ceremony, we headed up the hill to the Hendersonville Country Club for photos and our reception! Guests enjoyed a cocktail hour and could watch us take photos from the balcony on the Clubhouse. When it was time to come in for dinner, we made sure we got to eat dinner before visiting with guests! (Don’t let anybody tell you you can’t eat at your own wedding, make time!)

After endless cake testing and price shopping… we ended up getting our wedding cakes and cupcakes from PUBLIX! Wedding cake is incredibly pricey and honestly, Publix cake tasted the best anyways! We had a traditional cake that featured our monogram and cupcakes to accompany! We had so many people attend the wedding that we would have had to have a massive cake to serve everyone, so we opted for cupcakes decorated like hydrangeas instead!

In true Dorn Family form, to end the night, we had FIREWORKS at our reception! It was a short show with the fireworks choreographed to music. Right after, all of our guests lined the hall to the front door of the Clubhouse and we made our way through the pom-pom tunnel to our car. From there, we went to Andrew’s brother’s house (where we lived for the first 5 months of our marriage while our house was being built) and got our luggage and took off for our Honeymoon to Hawaii!
