With spending so much more time at home, we are accumulating sooo much more stuff (thanks to Peyton AND Amazon). And that new stuff just gets thrown places. Over the past couple months I have made a big effort to organize small spaces around our house that make a big difference in our day to day operations. So today I am sharing a few pictures and links below in hopes to make your home organizing a little easier!
These are two drawers that get used in our house every day. You can see the “before” on the left and the “after” on the right. These bamboo drawer dividers from Amazon have made all the difference. We have utensil organizers built-in to a couple of our other drawers around the kitchen and honestly, these dividers don’t look that much different. They are adjustable so they can fit all different sizes of drawers.
This is the “shit drawer” at our house. Come on, you all have one, don’t lie. It was getting out of control and became a catch all for anything laying around the kitchen that didn’t have a home. After cleaning out a few things, and organizing with these multi sized tiny clear bins, it made a world of difference.

Last week, I took on the pretty daunting task of reorganizing the pantry. I picked up this little adjustable spice rack on Amazon and it is perfect for this shelf. Also, you might notice in this picture that we LOVE Cavender’s All Purpose Greek Seasoning! Here’s a link for it, but you can also find it in your grocery store. Andrew uses it on his hamburgers on the grill and in his special chicken tender recipe!

I also picked up these larger clear bins to store a few things around the pantry. For right now, I have all of Peyton’s grab-and-go snacks on these two roll-out shelves. I think when she gets a little older I will move all her snacks down to the bottom shelf in the pantry so that she can grab whatever she wants when she’s hungry.

Last but not least, I wanted to share a peek into our new storage area upstairs. As you know, we just finished our attic into a playroom for Peyton (pictures coming soon, I promise)! With that renovation, we created a new storage area. We bought two of these heavy duty shelves for all our boxes. We also have two of these in the Christmas room downstairs and one in the garage. They are THE BEST and at a great price point for the quality. This room is by no means perfect, I printed these “labels” on printer paper and they are taped on with painters tape. But everything is labeled and that’s what matters to me. We also have a few things in trash bags, just so they are protected from dust. This is mostly Peyton’s newborn things that I wanted to save for any possible future babies.
I think our next organization project will be the garage! During construction it has kind of become a catch-all for anything and everything. It is definitely time to clean that up. But for now, I am happy with all the progress I’ve made over the last couple of months. What spaces in your home needs organizing?
