Hawaii: Peyton’s Extra Items
I have started a (way too small) box of items that I am setting aside to pack for Hawaii! We are less than a month away and I need to start doing some serious planning. The hardest part of the trip for us is easily going to be the plane ride. We have two flights that are roughly 5.5 hours long, each. I am so thankful that we are traveling with both mine and Andrew’s family so that we have so many people to help entertain her and pass her around to, but it is going to be rough. I have started compiling some new toys for her and activities that I think she will like on the plane. We have gotten many recommendations that say to buy your toddler all “new” toys that they have never seen before, and introduce them for the first time on the plane ride to maximize their time with each toy. Today I am sharing with you guys what is in this box that I’ve started preparing. Mostly made up of toys for the plane, but i’ve also thrown some extra things in there too!

First up, the toys! First up in the back, I bought this magnetic drawing board, it comes in at just $10 and I think she will love how it magically erases and she has a clean slate to start on again. She has never played with anything like this before. I bought because of the price point and the size, it will fit into a backpack and not take up a ton of room. I also bought this new Little Blue Truck Springtime book and Goodnight, Goodnight, Construction Site. She will read books over and over and OVER again until we literally have to hide the book so she’ll go to sleep. She loves the Little Blue Truck series (original book linked here) and LOVES watching the “beep beep”‘s (excavators) work in the yard. I went ahead and threw some crayons in there, but still need to add some coloring books. And a fancy set of toy keys!

Peyton’s new thing that she is really interested in right now is, stickers! I purchased this pack off Amazon. It has a variety of sizes and she LOVES Mickey and Minnie, so I think this should work well for her!

When I shared my picks for the Sephora Sale, I told you I bought this Supergoop! Sunny Screen for Peyton, we have used it a couple times at the pool so far and are loving it, and it is definitely coming with us to Hawaii! I also purchased the Neutrogena Wet Skin spray bottle (best deal in the two pack!) and face stick for Peyton. I love this because it can go on wet or dry skin and still get the job done. Perfect for reapplying! I also purchased this Neutrogena Invisible Daily Defense for me. They say it has no smell, which is great for me- I really don’t like sunscreen!

And last but not least, rounding it out with the perfect sippy cups for traveling! This are Peyton’s favorite sippy cups for every day anyways, but they are perfect to bring on a trip because they are made to be thrown away! Of course, while we’re at home, we wash them and get more than one use out of them, but since we don’t have a kitchen in our hotel rooms in Hawaii, we are just going to toss these at the end of the day!
