I hope everyone had an amazing Easter yesterday! We had a great day worshipping at church and spending the day with our family! I think we can all agree that this year was a little more exciting than last years now that we are able to get out more and attend church. Our weekend was filled with lots of Clemson events, family time and eating good food! Go figure, right? Haha.
Friday //
Friday was the last day before spring break for my school and it was HECTIC! A couple posts ago, I mentioned that my class was working on an 8 week geography unit that included all of the animals within it as well. (Stay tuned for a post on that 😉 ) Well last week we were learning about our last continent, Antartica. To celebrate about all we had learned that week and to kick off spring break, we decided to have a Penguin Palooza! I cannot even express how cute these kids looked dressed up as penguins! There was one student who went ALL OUT and bought a full on penguin costume off Amazon! We had so much fun with it and the students got to make their own penguins out of oreos and goldfish. To wrap up our day, each student got to share about their penguin they were researching about all week. There are 17 different types of penguins, who knew! They got to stand up in front of the classroom with a microphone and become the expert on that type of penguin. My teacher and I videoed each of them and sent it to their families to watch! I wrapped up my day with some Clemson softball! My parents brought the RV down that night for the Spring Game the next day so we went out for dinner as well.

Saturday //
IT’S GAME DAY IN DEATH VALLEY!!! (sorta) Today was our Spring Game, where our team scrimmages each other and tons of people come to watch. We treated it as a real game and tailgated before with the one and only: “Smokin’ Pig”. If you have not had this barbecue, I would highly encourage anyone to make the drive to Easley or Pendleton and trying it! We love the “Smokin’ Pig” and usually get it for tailgates at least twice a year! Meg, Andrew and Peyton came and we had a little Easter egg hunt for Peyton before the game!
We headed on into the game and Peyton did so well she made it through the entire game! That is of course with lots of people to keep her busy, many trips to the concession stands and a whole aisle for her to play in between our seats and my parents. She had a blast don’t get me wrong, haha!

Sunday //
Today we started off our day worshipping at church! We had Easter lunch at my parent’s house and spent the day doing some Easter festivities with Peyton! We started off by decorating egg shaped cookies with Meg’s new icing gun she got for her birthday! I think Andrew enjoyed it the most out of any of us 😉

We had an Easter egg hunt for Peyton in the yard and she loved it! She had to open every single egg before she put it in her basket. Understandable, the anticipation would kill me too, haha! After she found all her eggs we came back and made bunny shaped cinnamon rolls for dessert! I do not have an end result picture to share with you guys… well because they ended up looking like mickey heads. So, great news! If you ever want to make Mickey Mouse shaped cinnamon rolls just shape them into a bunny before cooking and voila they’re perfect!

Overall, our Easter weekend was pretty great and lots of fun memories were made! What did you guys do for Easter? Any new recipes you may have tried that you fell in love with? Let us know in the comments below! I hope everyone has a fantastic week and enjoys the sunshine 🙂
