I’m still here trying to earn my degree and boy have I been busy, busy these last few weeks! I have been going to my placement full time these past couple of weeks and I am exhausted. Haha. However, I sure do love hanging out with these kiddos all day every day! I am in a kindergarten classroom this semester and there is not a day that goes by where I don’t have a funny story to tell when I get back! 5 and 6 year olds are the FUNNIEST age. I have been able to teach a couple lessons in the classroom so far which has been very exciting! I am working with great teachers at the school I am placed at which makes everything 10x better!
Did I mention I’m exhausted? Haha. My daily schedule includes waking up at 6 am, arriving to my school by 7:15 and getting home around 3 to start working on some homework! There have definitely been some nights I am in bed by 8 pm and I am not ashamed of it 🙂 However, this has been great practice for when the day comes and I am a full time teacher, I will look back on these days and be grateful for the experiences I’ve already had! With 2/3’s of this semester already over, I keep thinking how this year is just flying by! Having to make adaptations and having everything on zoom has definitely been an adjustment for sure. I am just so grateful for the opportunity to be face-to-face in a classroom this semester!
Aside from going to my placement, my weekends have been just as busy cheering on our Clemson Tigers! Football is what I look forward to every weekend and I wouldn’t want to be doing anything else on a Saturday. Do you guys want to see more tailgating content?? We would be happy to share some more of our recipes and treats we have been putting together!
Make sure you’re checking on all your college kids out there because we are definitely reaching the stressful point in the semester where everything hits us at once! For all of you college students out there, I know this year has not been what we pictured it to be, but don’t let that ruin what could be an incredible start or end to your college career! Make sure to take some time for yourself to enjoy all of the little moments you might miss in the blink of an eye. I promise you, it will go by quicker than you think, enjoy it!
